Making Bath Bombs with Craftiosity- A Review

October 8, 2017 No Comments

I have always wanted to try making bath bombs, but it’s been on my craft to do list for a while now. The lovely people from Craftiosity sent me one of their monthly craft boxes to review.  I was so excited when I found out that it was a bath bomb kit!

I was very excited to receive my Craftiosity box to make lavender bath bombs through the post.  There were very detailed instructions with colour pictures to follow, which made the process very simple indeed.  There were also hints and tips so that you could make the most of your kit, and even a video tutorial should you want to watch exactly how they were made.

The bath bombs were really easy to make. All the equipment I needed was in the box, including disposable gloves.  The only thing that wasn’t was a bowl, but most people have those! All the ingredients were all weighed out in their separate little packages for me, simplifying it even more.

The process was simple, you mixed the ingredients following the instructions with a gloved hand, until the mixture would clump together. At that point it was ready to fill the moulds.

I followed the instructions and within a few minutes I had made my bath bombs! I had to leave them overnight to dry but they came out really well.  The kit had enough to make 4 bath bombs in 2 batches, so I made the second batch the next day.

I really enjoyed making them, and now I know how simple it is to do, I suspect I will be making more in the future. I also really enjoyed using them in the bath, I love the smell of lavender!

It’s so lovely to get something like this through the post.  Making bath bombs is a craft I have always wanted to do but just not got round to it.  I suspect it would have remained on my crafty to do list for a long time still. Getting my Craftiosity box through the post meant that not only did I have the push I needed to just get on and try something new, but also the opportunity to indulge in my passion of crafting.
