Simple Bonfire Night Collages

October 9, 2017 1 Comment

We are lucky enough to be part of the Bostik blogger team, where each month we are sent a box full of themed crafty goodies to inspire us on our next craft project.

This month unsurprisingly it’s all about Autumn, Halloween and Bonfire night!  We have already done quite a few Halloween themed crafts, so we though we would try our hand at some simple bonfire night collages.

Simple Bonfire Night Collages

My kids love doing collages.  I think it’s because they love all the different textures and using different materials. Isla particularly likes using glue and sticking things together, for Oliver anything that is potential a messy activity is a win for him!

We used a piece of sparkly black card as our backdrop to imitate the night sky.  First Isla glued on little coloured sticks in a pile to make her bonfire, and used yellow and orange tissue paper to make the flames.

Then to make the fireworks I used the Bostik white glue to make some firework lines on the card. Isla then used several different coloured glitters and sprinkled them onto the glue to make her fireworks.

Once the glue had dried, we just simply wiped off the excess glitter. That’s it! Our sparkly Bonfire Night collage!

You can also use natural materials to make bonfire night collages.  The kids also used leaves and twigs that we had found on a sheet of black card to make this one. Oliver loved sticking down the leaves that he had gathered the day before.

What do you think of our Bonfire night collages? Have you made something similar before?

Don’t forget to Pin it for later!
