Our Top Ten Travel Must Haves

Holiday Must Haves

This year, for their 4th  Blog ambassador programme, Mark Warner Holidays have asked us willing entrants what our top ten travel must haves are.  Like most mums, my absolute holiday essential is to make sure my kids are happy, so we thought we would hand the task over to them.

Our Top Ten Travel Must Haves

This year for the 4th Mark Warner Holidays blog ambassador programme, potential #MarkWarnerMums and dads, have been asked to get moody! That is, to create a mood board of their top ten holiday must haves.  So we decided to let the kids take control.  They decided on what were their holiday essentials, and then we set to work creating our mood board.

If you have read my blog before, you’ll know that we love a bit of crafting.  This was a perfect excuse to get out the craft boxes (think Mr Maker’s doodle drawers on a much smaller scale) and set to work. We have a metal board in our playroom, and I had some adhesive magnets, so we decided to stick magnets to our objects so the kids could easily arrange them.

Crafting Our Mood Board

We used several different methods in crafting our items. Pens and pencils were used for drawings; ink stamps for decorating; cardboard, pom poms and pipe cleaners were used for modelling and even items were scavenged from the kids bedrooms.  It was a real family affair, even Daddy got involved and made an awesome camera from cardboard and a bottle top.

Our Finished Mood Board

Since I started this blog just over a year ago, it has always been my intention to start including videos in my blog posts and to set up a YouTube channel, it just hadn’t happened.  We thought that this was a great opportunity to do our first video!  So without further a do, I give you our Top Ten Travel Must Haves mood board presented by Isla and Oliver, and our very first video!!

It was so much fun making our video, and I really hope you like it.

However, as you can imagine it didn’t all happen in one take.  The outtakes were just too good not to share.  So purely for your entertainment here are the bloopers!

I hope you like our top ten travel must haves mood board! We certainly had a lot of fun making it and filming our first video, hope you enjoyed it!
