Welcome back to the Kids and Kreativity linky party! This is a linky for all your blog posts that encourage creativity or inspire imagination in children. They can be about anything from baking with kids, messy play ideas, childrens’ crafts, book reviews, days out, travel…. you name it! Anything that gets the creative juices flowing, or sparks kids’ wonderful imaginations can be linked up.
I absolutely love this time of year. The change of the seasons, and the promise of Halloween and bonfire night just round the corner. Getting out and about can provide so much inspiration for craft projects, and free materials to scavenge and the kids love it. My favourite craft we’ve done recently are these cute little pine cone hedgehogs, and you can read more about them in the post I’ve linked up which is a round up of some great nature inspired kids crafts.

At the weekend we made these cute little pine cone hedgehogs with the adition of a little oven baked clay. I love the fact that in Autumn all you need to do to get inspiration for craft projects is to just go out for a walk. If you would like some inspiration for nature inspired Autumn crafts for kids then check out our latest round up post “19 Nature Inspired Autumn Kids Crafts” https://blissfuldomestication.com/19-nature-inspired-autumn-kids-crafts/ I am thinking of doing a little video tutorial on how to make these little guys, what do you think? #BlissfulDomestication #KidsCrafts #AutumnCrafts #Hedgehogcraft #Pineconecrafts #Crafting
This time of year also inspires me to get baking- so watch this space! Warm comforting baking is how I like to spend me evenings when the nights draw in, so expect lots of cakes and bake recipes coming soon.
The Last #KidsandKreativity Linky
We had a total of 13 posts linked up, which is FANTASTIC, and I’m over the moon! Lots of regulars, and it was lovely to see some new people linking up too! I have to say also that the quality of posts was awesome, it’s so lovely to read blog posts from like minded individuals.
The commenting was pretty good too, but don’t forget if you link up towards the beginning of the linky, pop back the second week otherwise you miss all the fantastic posts that link up towards the end, and there were some really fantatic posts.
I have changed the rules slightly again. The minimum commenting is now one of the host posts and two other posts of your choosing, 3 comments minimum per post linked up. Don’t forget though you can comment on more if you wish, and extra commenting is positively encouraged! I am also going to keep the linky open for 10 days as that seemed to work much better, and gives people more time to link up.
The person that commented the most was Typical Mummy, who is new to the link up but commented on every single post, which is amazing. She shared her homemade Play dough recipe and her cute flamingo she made from it, so go and check out her post and give it some love.
My favourite post of the link up was from Sensational Learning with Penguin, and was another Flamingo craft. Yes, yes there is a running theme here, it’s no secret that I’m a bit flamingo obsessed! However, other than the fact that it’s a flamingo this is a relly simple but effective craft to get the kids involved in, and certainly one I will be trying out with my daughter.
This Week’s #KidsandKreativity Linky
If you haven’t already please, please, please come and join me over at the Facebook group. I promise I wont spam you! But I want to create a nice little community of bloggers that post about creative kids activities. I have also decided to do a giveaway and will be giving away one of these, possibly two if i’m feeling generous, mugs at the end of November. So if you want to get your hands on one you need to be in the Facebook group to find out how!
I am also still pinning all the posts from the linky to my #KidsandKreativity board on Pinterest, and will continue to do so. So go check it out for some great inspiration and ideas.
For all those linking up for the first time, have a read through the linky information and rules, but if you have any questions just message me.
The linky will open every other Friday at 10.00 am. It will be open for new link ups for 10 days. On my bi-weekly linky posts, I will feature my favourite post and the post of the blogger that commented the most from the link up before, and share them on my social media channels.
Please, please, please make sure you finish your commenting by 7pm on the second Thursday. Please also make sure you add the #KidsandKreativity to your comment, as this helps me keep track of the comments, and make sure everyone is doing the minimum amount of commenting. Please DO NOT link up and run, it’s not fair on others, and is not what this linky is about.
This linky party is all about creating a nice community of like minded bloggers, and increasing exposure to blog posts that might inspire people. So feel free to comment away and share posts that you love. The more that you put into the linky, the more that you will get out.
