This is lovely activity for the kids to do. It involves two of my favourite things: crafting and growing plants from seed. Making these cute Cress Egg Heads is a really cool way to introduce the concept of food growing from seeds to our children. You can do this activity all year round, and as it only requires a small area of your windowsill it is something everyone can do.
I remember doing paper mâché as a child with newspaper and flour and water. This Paper Mâché Hot Air Balloon craft uses the same principles, but we used tissue paper and watered down glue instead. I prefer this method and it’s great fun for the children and adults alike!
Who doesn’t love butterflies! These super cute Peg Butterflies are really simple to make, and look very effective. The beauty of them is you can still use them as pegs, so they are pretty and functional too. We are going to make a load up and use them to hang the children’s artwork in the playroom. Or you could simply have them as decorations.
Those of you that are regular readers of my blog will know that I need very little excuse to get out my craft supplies. So with St Patrick’s Day around the corner, I thought I would make this cute Shamrock Paper Chain. It is currently hanging in the kids playroom, I just need to find a little leprechaun to sit with it!
World Book Day is just around the corner, and even though there is very little time, a fab costume does not have to cost you the earth. If you are stuck for inspiration for a Simple DIY World Book Day Costume then read on.
I love making things from everyday objects, and this Paper Plate Easter Basket was a lot of fun to make. It’s a fab simple craft to do with the kids in time for Easter, and they can even use it on their egg hunts.
If you are lucky enough to have a little girl with wild crazy hair, then you will know that you can never have enough headbands to tame unruly manes. With Easter round the corner, here is a really simple craft project to make a really cute DIY Easter headband for your little princess.
I love a snow globe, always have done. Not sure why really, maybe it’s the glitter, maybe it’s the magic of them, who knows. I’ve been meaning to try and make my own snow globe for a while, and finally I got round to it. It is surprisingly easy, and requires very little in the way of materials. If you want to give it a go yourself then read on.
