I, like a lot of people, am trying to shed a few lbs for the summer. I’m also always looking for ways to get more fruit and veg in my diet. This green smoothie is a great start to the day. Quick to prepare, nutritious and delicious. What more can you ask for for breakfast!
As a busy working mum I never seem to have much time in the mornings. We all know the importance of having a nutritious breakfast to set us up for the day, so this green smoothie is ideal. Quick to prepare, contains 2 of my 5 a day, and tastes good too!
Green Smoothie- A Healthy Start to the Day
You Will Need:
- 300ml coconut water
- 1 banana
- 1tsp honey
- Handful of baby spinach
How to do it:
This is a really really simple recipe, and literally takes a minute to prepare! I love my Breville Blend Active, and I think I’ve used it everyday since I got it over a year ago. It is also a really affordable blender, meaning smoothies for breakfast is a possibility for everyone.
- Pour the coconut water into one of the Blend Active flasks
- Break the banana into chunks and add to the flask along with the honey
- Fill the rest of the flask with Spinach and screw on the bladed cap
- Attach to the blender, and blend until smooth
And that’s it! It really is that simple. Enjoy!
I find this green smoothie gives me a boost and helps me tackle the busy day ahead. A good start to the day puts in me in a good frame of mind, and I am less likely to snack on rubbish if I’ve had a healthy start.
Have you ever tried a green smoothie before? What do you put in yours?
