[AD-Gifted] We are massive fans of Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, and this was probably the 9th or 10th time we have visited the park. However, it was the first time we have visited during their Halloween event, Dippy’s Halloween Days.
Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure is located near Lanwade between Norwich and Fakenham. We spend a lot of time in the school holidays in North Norfolk, and last visited the park in the summer shortly after it re-opened following lockdown. We’ve always had a great time there and without fail, every time we come to Norfolk the kids ask to go.
This was the first year we have visited during the October half term, and got to experience Dippy’s Halloween Days. If you follow this blog, you’ll know we are big fans of Halloween, and I am always on the look out for new Halloween events for the kids in the run up to the day itself.

Dippy’s Halloween Days At Roarr!
On entry the kids chose their ‘talisman of protection’, a Halloween themed Roarr! medal, a great one to add to their collection, and something to protect them from all the spooky encounters!
The park offers so much to do for kids of all ages. Some of my chidren’s favourites are the Dinosaur Trail, Dippy’s Raceway and of course the Predator High ropes- all musts for us when we visit.

If you want to read more about the regular attractions you can enjoy at Roarr! then check out our review post from the summer. For this blog post I am going to concentrate on all the additional Halloween themed activities that the park offers during Dippy’s Halloween Days.
The park had made a lot of effort to make it feel like Halloween. Everywhere was decorated with pumpkins, ghost and ghouls and spooky music played to really get us in the ‘spirit’ of things.

Halloween Trail
As well as all the dinosaurs to spot around the park, there were spiders, skeletons, witches and mummies.
Amongst all the spooky additions, were some blue skeleton pieces hidden around the park.
The kids loved spotting them, and if you you find all 5, the kids get a little prize at the end of your visit.

Dinomite Gang Investigate The Curse of the Werewolf
The usual A-mazing Adventure area was turned into a hunt for a werewolf! In family groups you were lead around the maze by one of the Dinomite gang to look for werewolf clues. The kids had fun spotting claw marks, foot prints, hair and even werewolf poop!
There was a nice surprise at the end which had us all running, but I wont spoil it for you!

Spooky Halloween Tales
At the new crypt and graveyard Vincent the friendly Vampire read spooky Halloween tales at various times throughout the day.
In true pantomine style, the kids thought the naughty zombie that tried to steal the story book was hillarious.

Dippy Live Stage
The Dippy Live stage is located at the top of the park next to a very large area of outside play equipment including nets, slides, tunnels and assault courses. Loads of room for the kids to run around, and plenty of shade and picnic tables for adults to rest.
Throughout the day there were several live shows suitable for young children to enjoy including Dippy’s Disco Dancing and The Dippy Show. Of course Dippy had to get into the Halloween spirit too.

Halloween Crafts
At the end of our visit the kids collected their prizes for the Halloween trail and took part in some Halloween crafts with Bobble-de-Boop the witch, located at Dippyville.
I’ve never seen Oliver sit so still and concentrate for so long colouring in his sugar skull!

Once again we had a great day at Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure, enjoying all the usual attractions and the new activities for Dippy’s Halloween Days. I really can’t rate this place highly enough. The park has so much space for the kids to run around, and so much for them to do and see and things to capture their imagination. The Halloween activities were spooky, but not scary at all and suitable for children of all ages.

Dippy’s Halloween Days event is on until 1st November 2020, so if you want to go this year you need to be quick and get booking online. It’s definitely something I will be putting in the diary for us next year.
Don’t Forget to Pin Dippy’s Halloween Days For Later!

Have you been to Roarr! Dinosaur Adventure before? I’d love to hear about your day out if you have in the comments.
