Arty Apple specialise in bespoke personalised gifts and nursery décor. When Amy at Arty Apple approached me to ask if I would be interested in reviewing one of her products, I jumped at the chance! I was torn between the beautiful bunting for the kids bedrooms, or the personalised aprons. I decided on the aprons as we love to bake as a family and I think I made a pretty good choice, read on to see what we thought!
It did feel a bit like Christmas had come early when our Arty Apple parcel arrived. The logoed giftbox was very sturdy and luxurious (Jasmine now has it in her room to store some of her craft supplies!), and the personalised aprons were all wrapped in tissue paper. The kids were very excited, and I struggled to get pictures of the grand opening of the box!
The aprons are made of a good quality double layered denim fabric, so no exposed rough edges of fabric on the inside like some kids aprons have. The kids names were embroided on the front with a cute embroided design of a cupcake for the girls and a gingerbread man for Oliver.
Sure enough no sooner was the box open, the kids wanted to try on their aprons (I managed to get a few snaps of this!), and do some baking. Totally unprepared mum that I am, I scrabbled around in the cupboard for ingredients to see what culinary masterpiece we could whip up to test drive them. Unfortunately the cupboards were fairly bare, so we decided on a simple rice crispie cake recipe with a slight difference of making them into rice crispie stars! (Well it is nearly Christmas after all!)
We all love baking in our house, and aprons are a must especially for the children who end up wearing most of the ingredients. This was a fairly ‘safe’ recipe, so the aprons may not have been truly tested, however they did save Isla’s party dress from a chocolate incident!
The price for the aprons start at £13 and come in 2 sizes 2-6 years and 7-13 years, which in my opinion is good value for money as they are a quality item. My only complaint? I couldn’t buy myself a matching one!
Arty Apple have lots of other lovely quality personalised items ranging from baby blankets, taggies and hooded towels. I also really love the personalised bunting, which would be a great addition to the children’s bedrooms when I get round to re-decorating them next year. With Christmas coming up they also have a range of personalised Christmas stockings, sacs and bibs. It’s a great place to get some fab gift ideas, all lovingly handmade and delivered to your door.
