Now it’s the holidays there is no excuse not to get outside and enjoy your garden (well apart from the weather that is!). If you want some ideas of activities that you can do outside with the kids, then this post is for you.
Festival season is truly upon us. I have been to a few festivals in the past pre-children, but have yet to brave them with the kids. It maybe something we look at when the kids are older. If you like me love the festival vibe, but going with the children isn’t an option, why not create a mini festival in your own back garden? This weeks guest post is all about hosting your own mini festival.
Do your kids love bugs and creepy crawlies? My little girl is not a fan, but Oliver on the other hand loves them. Whenever we go out for walks or out in the garden he insists on taking his bug hunter back pack, armed with magnifying glass and a pair of binoculars! If your kids love bugs, then why not make your own bug trap? It’s really simple and lets the kids see the bugs up close and personal.
We were lucky enough to be invited to a day at Newmarket races last Saturday to kickstart the season of their Summer Saturdays. I have been to Newmarket racecourse several times before, but never with the kids. If I’m honest I never really thought of it as a venue for a family day out. I’m pleased to say that I was wrong, and we all had a fantastic day.
We were lucky enough to be one of 100 bloggers taking part in the BritMums #PrezzoLaFamiglia challenge sponsored by Prezzo. The challenge was to celebrate the new La Famiglia sharing pasta bowl, actively encouraging family style dining and promoting the importance of eating together.
It didn’t disappoint! Our family Bushcraft day was amazing. We were really fortunate with the weather, and the sun actually shone! It was so lovely to spend the whole day outside as a family and everyone was so relaxed. A great fun, but relaxing family day out.
I’m excited, we all are excited! Not only because it’s the weekend, but also because tomorrow we are going on a family bushcraft day with Camp Wilderness. So tonight we are getting our stuff ready for the outdoor adventures we are going to have tomorrow.
Oliver has been feeling a bit lost since his big sister started school, so we planned a family day out with him in mind. He loves his toy diggers and trucks, so what better way to spend the day than visit Diggerland to see and play on the real things!
