I love subscription boxes, and have recently reviewed a children’s recipe box and a bath bomb making kit. So when I saw a tweet from Crafty Creatives looking for crafty bloggers to review one of their monthly boxes, I was quick to reply.
I have always wanted to try making bath bombs, but it’s been on my craft to do list for a while now. The lovely people from Craftiosity sent me one of their monthly craft boxes to review. I was so excited when I found out that it was a bath bomb kit!

As an amateur preserve maker, I seem to have a lot of these jam jar lids kicking around. I hate throwing things away so I kept hold of them hoping that one day inspiration would find me and give me an idea of what to do with them. Well inspiration struck and I decided to make these cute up cycled jam jar lid flowers to decorate a boring piece of fence in our garden.
For me making things from clay gives me a great sense of achievement. To make something so beautiful from such a boring cheap raw material is such a pleasure. It’s really simple to do, but the reason not more people are doing it is you need a kiln. The other materials are relatively inexpensive. However there are more and more people that have a kiln, and you may be lucky enough to find a local potter that will let you use theirs for a small fee. Here is how I make my ceramic plaques…..
