Who doesn’t love a holiday! As our kids get older, and we get braver about taking them further afield, I feel my passion for travel and adventure returning. We’ve been lucky in the last few years to have done quite a lot of travelling. We’ve had lots of fun in our caravan ‘Clarabelle’ and last year we took the kids on an aeroplane for the first time. More recently James took me to New York for my birthday which was an amazing holiday in more ways than one!
Just because it’s winter doesn’t mean children should stay indoors. There are so many winter outdoor activities that kids can do, that there should be no excuse not to wrap up warm and get out there. I read somewhere that there was never inappropriate weather, just inappropriate clothing. So get on the wellies and waterproofs and get outside.
I am always keen to get outside whatever the weather, and find some outdoor activities for the whole family. So this weekend I decided to take the kids on a footprint hunt, in the hope that we could make some nice plaster casts of any we found.
Autumn is officially here, but that doesn’t mean you have to stay indoors. I love the changing of the seasons, and love wrapping up warm and finding some outdoor Autumn activities to do with the kids. So if you’re stuck for ideas, here are a few of our favourite things to do when the leaves start to fall.
Now it’s the holidays there is no excuse not to get outside and enjoy your garden (well apart from the weather that is!). If you want some ideas of activities that you can do outside with the kids, then this post is for you.
We were lucky enough to be one of 100 bloggers taking part in the BritMums #PrezzoLaFamiglia challenge sponsored by Prezzo. The challenge was to celebrate the new La Famiglia sharing pasta bowl, actively encouraging family style dining and promoting the importance of eating together.
We were lucky enough to spend our half term on holiday in the Mediterranean with the kids. This was the first time the children had been on an aeroplane, but with some pre-holiday research and some careful planning it was a breeze. So here are my top tips for flying with children.
It didn’t disappoint! Our family Bushcraft day was amazing. We were really fortunate with the weather, and the sun actually shone! It was so lovely to spend the whole day outside as a family and everyone was so relaxed. A great fun, but relaxing family day out.
