The last few weeks have seen a lot of first and lasts for my children. Culminating in Oliver leaving Pre-school and Isla finishing her first year at Primary school on Friday. Everything is happening so fast, and emotionally I am struggling to keep up.
Ten things that make me happy? Hmmm, there lots of things that make me happy, can I narrow it down to just ten? I loved writing this post! I think we all get dragged down by the mundane parts of day to day life, and thinking about what makes us happy is good for the soul. It makes you evaluate your life, and made me realise that I have so much to be happy and grateful for!
Do your kids love bugs and creepy crawlies? My little girl is not a fan, but Oliver on the other hand loves them. Whenever we go out for walks or out in the garden he insists on taking his bug hunter back pack, armed with magnifying glass and a pair of binoculars! If your kids love bugs, then why not make your own bug trap? It’s really simple and lets the kids see the bugs up close and personal.
We were lucky enough to be invited to a day at Newmarket races last Saturday to kickstart the season of their Summer Saturdays. I have been to Newmarket racecourse several times before, but never with the kids. If I’m honest I never really thought of it as a venue for a family day out. I’m pleased to say that I was wrong, and we all had a fantastic day.
We were lucky enough to be one of 100 bloggers taking part in the BritMums #PrezzoLaFamiglia challenge sponsored by Prezzo. The challenge was to celebrate the new La Famiglia sharing pasta bowl, actively encouraging family style dining and promoting the importance of eating together.
Father’s Day is fast approaching, and I don’t know about you but I always struggle for ideas. Not just for my dad, but also for James on behalf of the kids. This year I wanted to think outside the box, and find some unique and unusual gifts for Father’s Day. This is my round up of my favourite Father’s Day gift ideas with a twist!
We were lucky enough to spend our half term on holiday in the Mediterranean with the kids. This was the first time the children had been on an aeroplane, but with some pre-holiday research and some careful planning it was a breeze. So here are my top tips for flying with children.
We all love days out with the family, but sometimes they can hit our wallets hard! Great family days out however needn’t break the bank. There are lots of things you can do that are fun for all the family that don’t cost the earth.
