I’m not a huge fan of exercise, but what I do like is being outside and going on an adventure! We will often go on short walks with the kids or hikes through the countryside, and we love creating our own mini adventures along the way. Good footwear is paramount, no one wants a summer hike ruined by a nasty blister or me moaning that my feet ache! These Trespass walking boots were a complete god send.
Trespass Walking Boots- A Review
Trespass has always been one of my go to retailers for outdoor clothing for us and the kids. Whether it be ski wear, waterproofs, footwear or even camping gear, they cater for all family outdoor pursuits.
Footwear is always a challenge for me. We like to go adventuring whatever the weather. So sometimes that means walking through mud, climbing trees or even walking on hard uneven ground. Wellies are good for mud, not so good for climbing, and since having the children I have very weak ankles and can often turn them easily on uneven ground. I also need to be able to run after the kids, after all how else can I pretend to be a wicked sorcerer looking for the good fairies to block their spells!
These Boots Are Made For Walking!
I was delighted when Trespass agreed to let me review some of their walking boots. After careful consideration I choose the Tensing Women Vibram Walking Boot. It was the appearance that initially drew me, but also the promise of their practicality. Waterproof and comfortable with extra support, all you need in a walking boot.
I was very pleased that when the boots arrived they didn’t fail on my expectations. Immediately they felt very comfortable. I have a low foot arch but the boots felt very supportive, and hugged the sole of my foot. It felt like I was able to bounce around! We took them out for a test run in out local National Trust forest, Hatfield Forest.
They were extremely comfortable, and after a whole day at the forest running around, climbing trees and going on several adventures, my feet didn’t hurt a bit! The ankle support was great, meaning I could confidently run around after the kids over the uneven ground, without fear of twisting or turning my ankle.I can see why these boots would be the ideal walking boot for the serious hikers amongst you. However, I also feel they are a great footwear choice for people like me who enjoy being outdoors walking the dog or just running after the children.
For those serious hikers amongst you head over to the Trespass page for tips on hiking this summer and have a look at their great range of walking boots. There are boots to suit all budgets and all your hiking needs whether be a simple stroll in the country side or an epic expedition.
